Andy Mckenna is running for the Governor of the Illinois.
Would you vote for him? Yes?
What if...
He is trying to reduce the minimum wage in Illinois.
His argument is that current minimum wage is $8 and will change
to $8.25 on July 2, 2010. Current Federal minimum wage is $7.25.
What he may NEVER understand is that how hard it is for the
people who work for the minimum wage.
With $8.00/hour working 40 hours per week, you are making $320/week.
That's about $1,280 per month. Can Andy McKenna even know how to
get by with $1,280 per month? Notice I did NOT even calculated
tax minimum wage earners have to pay.
If you lower minimum wage by $.25, that's $10 less per week and
that $10 might have been used to buy milks for his/her baby!
Andy McKenna prebabaly never had to worry about money.
I think this is THE ONLY reason why he is thinking about reducing
minimum wage from poor and still think they'll vote for him ;)
He just don't know how hard it is being poor.
If he know this simple thing, he won't even think about reducing
minimum wage. He'll think other method to bring back better economy
instead.
But, What do I know!
I am not rich and rich control everything, right?
